Become a cadet
Youth between the ages of 12-18 may join by attending one of the training nights at Sikh Academy located at 9115 160 Street, Surrey BC
Bring 2 pieces of government issued ID, including a carecard. Parents and cadets must sign forms.
As basic training is funded by the Department of National Defence, individual cadet corps are responsible for extra training and operational costs. The support committee requests that a contribution of $250 per year be paid to help support supplementary training, exercises, insurance and additional costs associated to the program.
All cadets are given a full dress uniform, field training uniform (combats), winter jacket, boots, socks, toques and gloves. This Corps program includes Sikh culture and traditions; therefore, most cadets wear a turban which is also a part of the uniform.
Cadets are responsible for keeping their uniform up to standard.
